More Unique Foodies...

I have never tried to made Pear Honey before so after conversing with friends on Facebook and having lots of very ripe pears, I attempted to make the pear honey.  It actually turned out more like pear jam, but seems to be a hit with everyone.  Next year I may try it again!

I also tried my hand at making these fun graduation caps.  It's amazing to me what a few chocolate bars and Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups can create!

More Sewing Frenzies...

If you follow me at all you  know that I like to dabble in all kinds of mediums.  Whether it be sewing, painting, scrapbooking or stamping... I enjoy creating and giving gifts!

Sewing Frenzy...

An Apron and a Tutu for Madison!

Diaper Cupcakes for Baby Shower Gifts...

This last year, I was included several baby showers.  I attended 4 or 5 showers and sent gifts to a few more that I couldn't go to.  I also put on a baby shower!  I thought instead of a baby cake, I would do cupcakes and fill them with baby socks, wash clothes, headbands (for girls) and of course diapers.

It was so fun to do something different.  I also made burp clothes and bibs for the new little ones as well.

For the decorations for the baby shower I put on the theme was Jungle Animals so this is what I came up with...

50th Wedding Anniversary!

In February 2011, My parents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary and I wanted to give them something special to remember the occasion.  My seven brothers and sisters and I were already sending them on a little trip, but nonetheless, I wanted them to have a family tree with all of us kids on it.  I gathered some supplies from my various MemoryExpress Kits and came up with a fun design and managed to get all of us on the tree.  This was done on canvas and I painted it first and then added the paper layering from there.

Glass Etching...

Do you every just want to learn how to make something and don't know how?  I rely on YouTube which is flooded with a wealth of info on how to create!

One of the mediums I wanted to try was glass etching so I went to my resource (YouTube) and figured it out.  I was excited on how it turned out and it was a lot easier than I thought.

January 2011 MemoryWorks Kit Layout ...

I love getting the MemoryWorks kits each month which are full of fabulous products from some of my favorite companies.  In January I made cards, layouts and a pocket calendar using the kit and had plenty left over for even more projects if I wanted.  You don't need to try to match papers or embellishments, because MemoryWorks does it for you!

Stocking Stuffer/Gift Ideas

I know... I have the new 4S so why do I need a pocket calendar?  I am a visual person so I need to sometimes see what's going on rather than flipping back and forth to see what's going on in my busy life.  I may not be the only person that feels this way so these would make perfect stocking stuffers or gift ideas for just the right person :)  I also put my checkbook in the back of mine so that I have everything all together.

Handmade Cards for Every Event!

My husband makes fun of me because I can't just go buy a card from the store, I need to make them.  What would everyone think if I just went and bought one?  Craziness I say... Here are a few of the cards I made over the past year.

MemoryWorks Retreat Thank You Albums

This past summer I had the honor of making thank you albums for the instructors from four different companies for the MemoryWorks Scrapbooking Retreat.  I stuck to one major design but used their products to make them each unique to them.  Everyone who attended the retreat wrote a little thank you in each album and then they were presented to the instructors.  We were certainly blessed to have these amazing people attend our retreat!

2) Teresa Collins
3) Simple Stories
4) We R Memory Keepers

Little Knit Hats

I had fun this past year making little knit hats for Christmas, birthday and baby shower gifts.  I tried to be creative so that none were duplicated and each unique for the person I made them for.  Flowers and a little bling certainly add a touch as well!
