Heartstring Designs Wow Wednesday!

Well, it's time for another Wow Wednesday from the Heartstring Designs DT.  I saw this card on-line and have been wanting to make it.  It was inspired by Anna Wight's illustration titled "Rollerderby Hen".  I've shrunk it down to be 6x6 so that I could make it a thank-you card.  I'm pretty excited on how it turned out using this month's kit.

I've inked all the edges of the paper, tag, and even the ribbon to give it an aged look using Tim Holtz Ink.  I added a googly-eye and button just for fun and some Stickles for bling.
Enjoy!
Look at all you get!

MemoryWorks July Challenge

Hi everyone!  Janey here to let you know there is still time for this month's MemoryWork July Challenge.  Meg has challenged us to include three things on a card, layout or some kind of project.  The things we need to include are paper, stickers and buttons.  This is what I came up with...
I thought this would fairly easy until I had to come up with something.  I'm actually pretty pleased with how it turned out and I hope the recipient will also!  Let's see what you come up with.

Heartstring Designs - Wow Wednesday!

Thanks for stopping by for yet another WOW Wednesday.  Today the Craft Doctors are up to more creativity.  As for me... I was in need of a birthday card for one of my grandson's.  I took this month's kit and created this "All American Boy" card.  The items I added to the kit from my own stash are some pop-dots, Tim Holtz Ink, and twine.
This kit has been so fun!  I love the Red, White and Blue.  Perfect for a little boy's birthday.  Check back next week for even more inspiration.  See you then!

Heartstring Designs - Wow Wednesday

Hi everyone and welcome to Wow Wednesday!  Today a few of the Craft Doctors and I have created some fun for you using this months "Summer Lovin" July kit.
I have created a cute frame.  When I saw the kit I remembered taking my little pup Dexter in the basket of my bike and thought it would be the perfect photo for this altered item.  I began by using a blank wooden frame and a die-cut piece of wood for the top of the frame, both were not included in the kit, but were from my personal stash.  I covered the frame with selected paper and the adhesive ribbon included in the kit.
I also inked all the edges of my project with Tim Holtz Inks.  As you can see I created flowers which I used my die cutting machine and scissors to make.
The inside of the frame I cut the small photo and slipped it into a banner.  The banner was cut out of one of the journal cards that was included in the kit.  I used an exacto knife to give the photo another dimension.
I added chipboard pieces and pop dots for the 3-D look on the bike.

Come back next week for another round of Wow Wednesday and more inspiration from the Craft Doctors.

Heartstring Designs July Summer Lovin' Blog Hop

Thanks for coming back today... Here is the line-up for the Blog today:
You should have started here: Heartstring Designs: http://heartstringdesigns.blogspot.com/
And that is how you get to me :-)

Here are a few more ideas that I came up with using this month's goodies!
I created this card using the Simple Stories I{HEART}SUMMER line.  I used several chipboard items from the kit and adhesive ribbon.  There were a few exceptions to the kit.  I added Tim Holtz inks to every edge of the papers not to mention I added orange Stickles to the card.  This would make a fun "Just because" card or perhaps and invite for a party!
Next up is a little favor for a party or to give to the special person or friend.  Again I used the Simple Stories I{HEART}SUMMER line and inked all the edges with Tim Holtz inks.  I used pop-dots, a marker, baggie and of course candy from my stash!  I used my die-cutting machine for the label.
Well, I hope you've enjoyed all the fun with the Heartstring Designs Team today.  Come back and join us as next month we'll be showing you birthday ideas :)

Heartstring Designs July Summer Loving Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Blog Hop...

You should have started here: Heartstring Designs: http://heartstringdesigns.blogspot.com/
And that is how you get to me :-)

I am so excited to be joining the Heartstring Designs Design Team.  First up is an easel card equipped with a few stick-pins to use on other projects or to just enjoy.
I used the Authentique paper line that was in our kit this months  I love to ink my projects and this is no exception.  I created a rosette from the paper for the front and even used the scrap piece of baker's twine that was used to wrap the ribbon that came in the kit.
From the angle you can see how the card is an easel and it stands up by the added paper and stick-pins on the inside.  The items that I used that were not included in the kit, was the pins and the Tim Holtz ink.
What's a 4th of July without a star!  I created a 6" star and scored each point to create the 3D affect.  I then cut the "4th of July" from the paper line using my die cut machine.  I used pop dots to raise it up some.  I inked the ribbon to give it the aged fill and inked the entire star and lettering.  The tag was from a sticker in the kit and I inked it as well.  You can barely see it, but the star is adhered to a paper straw.  Enjoy and come back and see us tomorrow for more fun and games.
